Formed in 1998

The Lesbian and Gay Country Music Association was formed in 1998 in San Francisco by Doug Stevens, Mark Weigle, and Charlie Pacheo. 

During its heyday, LGCMA consisted of 30 LGBTQIA+ country artists and bands. 

The organization has not been active for many years, but Rose Llewellyn is getting it started again!!

Function

The LGCMA functioned as both a central location for organizations wanting to hire or interview country artists, and provided representation at Pride Events, Gay Rodeos, Two-Step Dancing organizations, and Square Dancing.

We intend to provide similar functions again!
